To reinforce these values and provide an opportunity to unwind, reconnect with nature, and build lasting memories, we planned an exciting getaway to Dharikotla Island. This trip continued our tradition of organizing meaningful team experiences.
The Journey Begins – Gathering at the office, anticipation, and the lively bus ride
The excitement was palpable as we gathered at the office, eagerly waiting to kickstart our adventure. We departed for Dharikotla Island, and the bus ride was filled with lively chatter, laughter, dancing, and anticipation of the adventures ahead.
A Scenic Stop – prep for the adventure ahead
On our way, we stopped at the banks of the Narmada river and enjoyed the scenic view with a cup of tea. The much needed stop allowed us to refresh and prepare for the wilderness that beckoned us.
Into the Wild – Jungle safari and trekking through dense forests
Upon arrival, we were greeted by the serene beauty of nature, completely cut off from the hustle and bustle of city life. After a quick check-in, we embarked on a jungle safari, covering 10 km through dense forest to reach our campsite. The trail was mesmerizing, offering glimpses of untouched wilderness, diverse flora, and the occasional rustle of wildlife and calls of different birds.
Sunset Magic – A breathtaking sunset view from the viewpoint
Once we reached our campsite, with some time to unwind, we explored the surroundings and headed to the sunset point, where we witnessed a breathtaking view of the sun dipping below the horizon—a picture-perfect moment.
Evening Bliss – Tea, snacks, and unwinding in nature’s embrace
In the evening, tea and snacks were served, much needed after the long yet fulfilling journey. The cool evening breeze, combined with nature’s ambiance, made this moment even more enjoyable.
A Night Under the Stars – Bonfire, stargazing, and late-night reflections
The highlight of the evening was the strum of the guitar—a beautiful, soulful performance by a singer who captivated us with timeless renditions, making the event even more special. The bonding and companionship fostered during this session were truly heartwarming.
A Thrilling Night Walk – Exploring the nocturnal beauty of the forest
Later, a delicious dinner was served, and then we went for an adventurous jungle night walk, exploring the nocturnal beauty of the forest. The silence of the night, interrupted only by the sounds of nature, added to the thrill of the experience. We sailed through the night with engaging games such as dumb charades and antakshari.
Welcoming the Sunrise – A serene morning with golden hues
The next morning, we woke up to witness a mesmerizing sunrise. The golden rays illuminating the dense jungle and beautifully reflecting on the calm waters surrounding the island made for a serene start to the day.
Boating Amidst Nature – Tranquil waters and breathtaking landscapes
We enjoyed morning tea and breakfast, energizing ourselves for the most anticipated activity – boating. We explored the tranquil waters surrounding Dharikotla Island, soaking in the picturesque landscapes and spotting unique birds along the way.
Bidding Farewell to Dharikotla – Check-out and leaving no trace behind
After boating, it was time for check-out. Before leaving, we made sure to leave the place just as we had found it—clean and untouched.
A Hearty End to the Journey – Lunch and reflections on the way back
On our return journey, a delicious lunch was arranged on the way back, marking the perfect end to a truly unforgettable trip.
Activities That Made It Special
Beyond just a camping trip, our adventure to Dharikotla Island was packed with activities that allowed us to immerse ourselves in nature. Nature Trail was a scenic walk through the forest, allowing us to appreciate the beauty of the wild. Water Sightseeing offered stunning views of the river and its surroundings. Boating provided a peaceful yet exciting ride across the water. With minimal light pollution, Stargazing turned the night sky into a spectacular sight, filled with countless stars. Team Games and Antakshari created fun-filled moments that strengthened our bond and brought laughter and joy to the team.
This trip was more than just an adventure; it was a reminder of the importance of disconnecting from technology and reconnecting with nature. The Dharikotla Island experience provided us with relaxation, fun, and meaningful interactions with CLites outside of the workplace. It strengthened our team spirit and left us with memories to cherish.
