CloudLIMS is back from the Southeastern 2019 Hemp & Medical Cannabis Convention held at the Cobb Galleria Centre, Atlanta, USA. Our CEO, Mr. Arun Apte, delivered a talk titled “Addressing regulatory considerations of cannabis testing laboratories cost-effectively using a cloud-based LIMS” at the event. The talk emphasized the operational and regulatory requirements when setting up a cannabis testing laboratory. The considerations included Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) requirements, data management, and regulatory requirements, such as ISO/IEC 17025:2017, 21 CFR Part 11, ISO 9001:2015, and GLP. The talk also highlighted the crucial role of a purpose-built Cannabis LIMS in managing sample and testing data, generating Certificates of Analysis (CoA), besides integration with seed-to-sale tracking systems such as METRC™, Leaf, and BioTrackTHC™. Furthermore, the talk illustrated the significance of a SaaS LIMS in minimizing operational costs and the service advantages of a configurable SaaS LIMS hosted in the cloud. The talk was well-received by the audience. Mr. Apte answered several interesting questions posed by the audience and was delighted to interact with them. You can download the presentation from our website.
Thousands of attendees from the cannabis industry participated in the two-day conference to get cutting-edge information on medicinal use of cannabis, to exchange ideas, to discuss policy issues, and to identify new emerging areas in the cannabis industry. The conference agenda included cannacoaching sessions, medical and legislative workshops, exhibitions, presentations by eminent scientists and industry leaders, entrepreneur’s booth camp, educational tracks, and many more.
