CloudLIMS is back from the 2019 Cannabis Science Conference (CSC) West, held at the Oregon Convention Center, Portland, USA. Our CEO, Mr. Arun Apte, delivered a talk titled “Achieve Quality Assurance in Cannabis Testing Laboratories using a LIMS” amid a large number of attendees at the event. The talk emphasized the importance of Quality assurance (QA) in cannabis testing and the role of LIMS in assuring quality and ensuring data integrity in cannabis testing labs. The talk was well-received by the audience. The audience posed several interesting questions after the talk. Mr. Apte was delighted to answer the questions and interact with the audience. If you missed the chance to hear him speak live, you can download the presentation from our website. We also presented a poster titled “Achieving ISO/IEC 17025:2017 Accreditation in a Cannabis Testing Lab using LIMS”. The poster showcased the importance of a Cannabis LIMS in meeting the technical and management system requirements of ISO/IEC 17025:2017. The requirements include managing training and competence records of personnel, managing and controlling internal and external documents, scheduling instrument calibration, managing Quality Control (QC) samples and their results, and generating Certificates of Analysis (CoA) per the requirements of ISO/IEC 17025 compliance. You can download the poster from our resources section.
More than 2,500 attendees from the cannabis industry participated in the three-day conference which aims to advance cannabis science. The participants comprise cannabis industry experts, testing laboratories, research scientists, medical practitioners, instrument manufacturers, policymakers and interested novices. The conference agenda included talks by renowned speakers in three different conference tracks, analytical, cultivation, and medical. The event included informative poster presentations, medical, scientific, and academic sessions, and exhibitions by several vendors.
