CloudLIMS, an advanced SaaS, in-the-cloud Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) software with zero upfront cost, accelerates biobanking, clinical research and diagnostics, cannabis, environmental, and water testing laboratory operations by efficiently managing laboratory data, automating workflows, and following regulatory compliance, such as CLIA, ISO 15189:2022, CAP, ISO 20387:2018, EU GDPR, HIPAA, GLP, ISO/IEC 17025:2017, 21 CFR part 11, among others. The latest version of CloudLIMS, version 3.87, is equipped with new features and enhancements to enable laboratories to better meet their data management, automation, and regulatory requirements. The highlights of this version include the ability to view specific test reports for Sample ID and Test ID combinations, batch export test reports as PDFs, and add a legend with flag color and description to reports.
1. View Specific Test Reports for Sample ID and Test ID Combinations
You can now view reports specific to the required Sample ID and Test ID combination, even if a particular Test ID has multiple samples associated with it. This feature guarantees that you’ll only see the report relevant to the required Sample ID & Test ID combination. It ensures accurate and individualized test reports for each sample, regardless of shared Test IDs, enabling you to drill down and focus on specific reports you are looking for.
2. Batch Export Test Reports as PDF
With this update, you can select multiple test records, effortlessly download multiple PDF test reports for the selected records, and have them readily available on your system. Whether you need to export 5, 25, or even more reports, this feature empowers you to seamlessly download the entire batch of reports as separate PDFs to your system while also saving them within the application for easy reference.
3. Add Legend with Flag Color & its Description to Reports
With this update, you now have the ability to add a legend for your test results. Imagine being able to easily determine if a contaminant level is within an acceptable range with just a glance. Descriptions, along with unique flag colors, allow you to quickly identify whether the results are acceptable or not based on your pre-defined acceptance values. You can include these descriptive legends in your test reports or Certificates of Analysis (CoA). This means that when you generate your test report or CoA, you’ll have all the information you need to quickly and easily interpret the results. The descriptions provide clear explanations, definitions, and contextual details, enhancing your comprehension of the report and empowering you to make informed decisions based on the results.
4. Manage Results of Multiple Samples Having Multiple Test Runs
When conducting tests multiple times for the same sample, it can be challenging to keep track of all the results and avoid overwriting results from the previous runs. But fret no more, you now have the power to save the test results of each run without the fear of losing or replacing data from previous runs. When you add the Test Run Number in the Result Entries Dialog in CloudLIMS and correspondingly include the same Test Run Number in the import file, CloudLIMS seamlessly associates the right results with the correct test run number, ensuring accuracy and organization every step of the way.
5. Easily Assign Samples to Storage Locations
This feature empowers you to effortlessly assign multiple samples to storage locations directly from the Samples module with just a few clicks. No more tedious, one-by-one assignments. You can now select multiple samples and instantly assign them to the desired storage location, all without leaving the samples module, that is, there is no need to navigate to the storage module anymore to store samples.
6. Associate Inventory with Samples Using External Inventory ID
Unlock a new level of convenience while importing hundreds to thousands of samples in a batch. No longer restricted to system-generated IDs, you can now associate inventory items with sample records by providing external inventory IDs while batch-importing samples. This functionality enables you to use your custom lab-defined inventory IDs for associating inventory items with samples, enabling you to follow existing identification numbers assigned to your inventory, making inventory tracking easier than ever before.
7. Associate Client with Samples Using External Client ID
This feature gives you the power to associate clients with samples during the import process using external Client IDs or your lab-defined client IDs. Import an XLS/CSV file with a column containing external Client IDs, and our intuitive application automatically associates the external client IDs with the corresponding sample IDs. This functionality eliminates the need to follow system-generated IDs and allows you to follow the existing IDs, saving you from the confusion that may arise due to two different IDs for the same client records.
8. Control Sending of Login Credentials to Clients and Patients
This update simplifies the process of sending login credentials to your clients and patients. It empowers you to effortlessly send the “Set Login Credentials Email” every time you activate a client or a subject record.
Now, you can easily control sending of the email containing login credentials by utilizing a convenient toggle button available in the Client Preferences and Subject Preferences sections, allowing you to seamlessly manage email notifications when activating clients or subjects.
So, whenever a client or a patient needs to change their password, it’s as simple as a click! You can now send the Set Login Credentials email anytime, just by configuring your email sending preferences for clients and patients and clicking the Activate Client or Activate Subject icon, respectively. No more complex backend controls. You have the flexibility to control sending login credentials effortlessly and provide exceptional service to your clients and subjects.
9. Effortlessly Find and Associate Analytes of Interest
It can be daunting to find the exact analyte to associate with a test record from a long and extensive list of analytes. That’s where the new Search option comes in. No more tedious scrolling and manual searching through lengthy lists! Now, you can simply enter a part of the Analyte name or even the Analyte Group you’re interested in. In an instant, our smart filtering system will narrow down the options, displaying only the relevant Analytes that match your search criteria. This saves you precious time and ensures an accurate selection of analytes for your test records.
10. Set & Display Default Attribute Value
In the latest version, you now have a spacious text area that allows you to enter and simultaneously review the default value of an attribute. This functionality eliminates the hassle of scrolling through text fields or missing out on crucial details due to limited visibility. Catch those pesky typographical errors and ensure accuracy with ease.
