Prevent Testing of Failed Samples: You can now prevent test assignment and result entry for samples that have a “Fail” status in the Sample Quality Check. Only samples that pass the quality check are eligible for testing, helping you ensure that laboratory resources are not spent on samples that do not meet quality requirements.
For a food testing laboratory analyzing samples from food manufacturers, processors, and other suppliers, samples that fail quality checks are unsuitable for testing due to issues such as improper packaging, insufficient quantity, contamination, or compromised sample integrity. With this functionality, laboratory staff can ensure that samples marked as “Fail” cannot be assigned tests or have results entered. This helps prevent unsuitable food samples from proceeding through the testing workflow and ensures that only samples meeting the laboratory’s quality requirements are tested.
One-Click Access to Sample Storage Locations: You can now directly navigate to a sample’s storage location by clicking the storage path/name hyperlink under a sample record. This eliminates the need to manually search through the storage hierarchy, enabling you to quickly access storage locations and improving the efficiency of sample retrieval for research, testing or even distribution.
For a biobank managing thousands of biospecimens across multiple freezers, racks, and storage units, quickly locating a sample’s physical storage location is essential for efficient sample retrieval. With this functionality, biobank staff can quickly and easily navigate to any sample’s storage location.
Export Incoming Shipment Records: You can now select an incoming shipment record and export it as a PDF. The generated PDF can be used as a shipment receipt, helping you maintain documentation while providing a convenient way to retain, share, and track incoming shipment records.
For a cannabis testing laboratory receiving samples from cultivators, manufacturers, and other licensed facilities, maintaining accurate records of incoming shipments is essential for ensuring sample traceability and proper documentation. With this functionality, laboratory staff can generate a PDF of each incoming record and use it as a shipment receipt when receiving cannabis samples. The non-editable PDF provides a reliable record that can be retained for future reference, shared with relevant stakeholders, or used during audits.
Access Outgoing Packaging Slips: You can now save a packaging slip with the outgoing shipment record. By making this association, you can improve traceability, simplify shipment record management, and quickly retrieve shipment-related information when needed.
For a biorepository shipping biospecimens to research institutions, hospitals, and other facilities, maintaining accurate shipment documentation is essential for ensuring traceability throughout the specimen lifecycle. With this functionality, biorepository staff can save the packaging slip directly against the corresponding outgoing shipment and quickly access it from the table view when reviewing shipment details.
Generate Consolidated Manifests: You can now select multiple outgoing package records and generate a consolidated manifest report in PDF format. The report lists the selected records and their corresponding packaging slip details and can be included with a shipment to indicate the number of packages being shipped without revealing or providing access to the individual packaging slips.
For a biorepository shipping biospecimens to multiple research institutions, shipments may contain several packages, each with its own packaging slip. With this functionality, biorepository staff can select the outgoing package records and generate a single manifest listing all the packages and their corresponding packaging slip details. The manifest can accompany the shipment, allowing the recipient to verify the number of packages received without accessing the individual packaging slips.
Show Relevant Request Types to Each Client: You can now set the visibility of request types for each client. This setting ensures that clients see only the request types relevant to them, while all other request types that they don’t use remain hidden. As a result, you can provide a more personalized experience to your clients and reduce the errors when clients place orders.
For a diagnostics laboratory working with physicians, specialists, and clinics, different physicians may require access to different diagnostic testing services. With this functionality, laboratory staff can associate specific request types with each physician, ensuring that each specialist sees only the testing services relevant to them in the Client Portal.
