+

CloudLIMS, an advanced SaaS, in the cloud LIMS with zero upfront cost, accelerates biobanking, clinical, research, and testing laboratory operations by efficiently managing laboratory data, automating laboratory workflows, and following regulatory compliance, such as ISO/IEC 17025:2017, ISO 15189:2012, EU GDPR, HIPAA, 21 CFR part 11, among others. The latest version of CloudLIMS, version 1.96, is equipped with new features and enhancements to enable biobanks, clinical, research, and analytical testing laboratories to better meet the data management and reporting requirements of the industry. The highlights of this version are the functionality to add patients from the client portal, enhanced test result import functionality, and improved aliquot importing functionality.

  • Add Patients from the Client Portal: Your customers can now log in to the CloudLIMS Client Portal, add patients or subjects or sample source records and associate them with samples for which they have access. Your customers can also edit or delete existing patient records. Furthermore, your customers can generate a PDF or an MS Excel report of the patient records added by them. This functionality enables your customers to securely share patient data with the laboratory staff while placing service requests through the client portal. For example, physicians can enter patient data and associate patient records with the corresponding samples while placing test requests. Furthermore, this functionality reduces the data entry effort of the lab by providing the data entry functionality to the hospital or physician’s office, reduces the chances of laboratory errors and enhances customer experience.
  • Enhanced Test Result Import Functionality: You can now choose to assign an analyte test result to an attribute of your choice while importing the results from a file. You can select a system-defined or a custom analyte attribute, including dependent attributes such as formula expressions, mapped values, or replicas. This functionality provides you the flexibility to choose an attribute of your choice to assign the test results received from your instrument with the default attribute being Observed Value.
  • Improved Aliquot Importing Functionality: The latest version of CloudLIMS enables auto-deduction of parent sample quantity during the import of aliquots from a file. This functionality prevents you from creating aliquots if the current quantity of the parent sample is insufficient. The current quantity of the parent sample is automatically deducted based on the total quantity of all aliquots created, preventing chances of manual errors. Furthermore, this helps ensure that the current quantity of the parent samples is updated at all times, enabling lab managers to take necessary actions for the replenishment of parent samples on time.
