CloudLIMS @2020 Food Labs/Cannabis Labs Virtual Conference

+

CloudLIMS is excited to participate in the Food Labs/Cannabis Labs conference to be held from June 2 – 5, 2020. Due to COVID-19, the conference is now converted to a full virtual conference, originally planned in Rockville, USA. You can register for the event free of charge. Our CEO, Mr. Arun Apte, is delivering a talk titled “Preparing for an ISO 17025 Audit: What to Expect from a LIMS?” on June 4, 2020, from 11:05 AM – 11:45 AM EDT. ISO/IEC 17025:2017 is an international standard adopted widely in both food and cannabis testing laboratories to prove their competence in providing valid and reliable results. A LIMS can prove to be a game-changer by replacing inefficient and error-prone manual processes with automated processes to meet the various requirements of ISO/IEC 17025:2017 compliance. The talk delineates the role of a LIMS in helping cannabis and food testing laboratories with audits, thereby enabling them to stay ahead of the curve. We are also delivering a 15-minute tech talk titled “Get your Lab in the Fast Lane, Powered with a LIMS Engine!” on June 2, 2020, from 11:45 AM – 12:00 PM EDT. The talk highlights the significance of a Cannabis LIMS and a Food LIMS in tracking samples, automating workflows, validating test results, generating custom Certificates of Analysis (CoA), sharing them in real-time, and tracking turnaround times to monitor laboratory efficiency.

Both the events, Food Labs Conference and Cannabis Labs Conference, are virtually held together and bring together experts from the food and cannabis industries. The virtual Food Labs Conference focuses on regulatory, compliance and risk management issues that organizations face in food testing and food laboratory management. Some of the topics covered are laboratory accreditation for food testing, FDA’s proposed Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) rule, food fraud, advances in food testing and laboratory technology, test result validation and proficiency testing. The virtual Cannabis Labs Conference covers all aspects of cannabis testing from laboratory regulations to new technologies and method development. Some of the important talk topics include hemp testing under new federal guidelines, ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accreditation for cannabis testing laboratories, cannabinoid quantification, state regulations, and best practices for sample preparation. The virtual events provide attendees an opportunity to learn about new technology, best practices, and regulatory guidelines that are common and unique for both cannabis and food industries. The attendees can ask questions to the speakers via the chat box or Q&A feature of the virtual hosting platform.

If you would like to hear our talks, register for the event. You can schedule a call with us to discuss the challenges of your testing facility. We are happy to answer any questions that you may have.

We look forward to e-meeting you at the Food Labs/Cannabis Labs Conference!
