CloudLIMS is pleased to announce its participation at the Cannabis Quality Conference 2023, to be held at The Hilton, Parsippany, New Jersey, USA, from October 16 – 18, 2023. Our CEO, Mr. Arun Apte, is delivering a talk titled “Navigating the ISO 17025 Accreditation Process for Cannabis Testing Labs” at the event. The talk is scheduled for October 18, 2023, from 1:30 PM-2:15 PM ET. The talk will be followed by a Q&A session.

The legalization of cannabis in many countries around the world has led to a significant surge in the cannabis industry’s growth. As a result, the cannabis testing industry is also experiencing rapid expansion. While regulatory requirements for testing differ depending on the state or country, testing for safety and quality are consistent needs. The ISO/IEC 17025:2017 standard is an internationally recognized standard that outlines the requirements for testing and calibration laboratories to demonstrate their competence, impartiality, and consistency in business activities. For cannabis testing laboratories, achieving ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accreditation gives them a substantial advantage over their competitors. It enhances their credibility, reduces risks and liabilities, aids in compliance with state and local regulations, potentially boosts cross-border trade, and more. However, implementing any international standard within a regulated business is rarely a simple process, and it presents several challenges. Arun’s talk provides practical guidance on how cannabis testing laboratories can achieve ISO 17025 accreditation in light of the unique challenges they face and establish a reputation for competence and reliability in this rapidly growing industry. It also throws light on how cannabis lab testing software, also known as cannabis LIMS, enables better compliance with the standard and eases navigation through the ISO 17025 accreditation process.

Register for the talk and meet him after the event.
