We are back from exhibiting at AACR 2017 and it was such a wonderful experience! We showcased CloudLIMS, our laboratory automation software product to over 21,000 participants. We also presented a poster entitled "Accelerating clinical research using cloud technology". Please visit our Poster and Presentation section to receive a copy.
During the five day annual meet, we met several potential clients and researchers from all over the world. It was a great learning experience for us. AACR 2018 will be in Chicago, Illinois and we look forward to being there!

CloudLIMS is exhibiting at AACR Annual Meeting 2017 – American Association for Cancer Research. We are showcasing CloudLIMS, our laboratory automation software product, at booth #3530. We are also presenting a poster entitled "Accelerating clinical research using cloud technology" jointly with Dr. Carolyn Compton, Professor of Life Sciences, Arizona State University, Phoenix, AZ. The poster number is 25. The presentation is scheduled for Monday, April 3rd, 2017 from 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM.
American Association for Cancer Research represents laboratory and clinical scientists engaged in basic, translational and clinical cancer research. The mission of the American Association for Cancer Research is to prevent and cure cancer through research, education, communication, and collaboration and CloudLIMS is proud to assist such labs in this process.

CloudLIMS @ 1st Annual Cancer Biobanking Workshop
organized by Tata Medical Center
January 13, 2017
CloudLIMS exhibited at the 1st Annual Cancer Biobanking Workshop organized by Tata Medical Center, January 12th & 13th, 2017 at Kolkata, India. Many leading scientists and clinicians participated to learn best practices and practical approaches required to setup and run a cancer biobank in India. The workshop covered the best practices in biobanking, challenges in storing human specimen, maintaining quality and increasing collaboration through a series of lectures, interactive sessions and panel discussions.
Shonali Paul, COO at CloudLIMS. presented an interactive session on "Harnessing Cloud Technology for Biobanking Informatics". Please visit our resources section to get more information.
LIMS for Clinical Research
June 01, 2016
LIMS plays a key role in providing comprehensive laboratory and patient management functionality, essential for researchers and technicians dealing with clinical testing and molecular diagnostics. It assists in streamlining the laboratory operations such as storing the samples, recording patients' data, saving the test results over a period of time, outlining data audits etc, thereby increasing productivity.
Clinical research labs have been using Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS). However, the traditional LIMS systems are prohibitively expensive and do not allow sharing of data in real time. Therefore, there is a growing demand for a cost effective LIMS solution for the clinical industry, owing to globalization of R&D operations, lack of budgets, stringency of regulatory bodies towards data integrity, and the need for compatible platforms to share knowledge/data within an organization and with third parties. Cloud technology has emerged as a viable alternative. The SaaS based in-the-cloud LIMS offers commercial and academic institutions, a standardized approach for managing laboratory data globally.
Hosted LIMS has several advantages over the traditional systems:
Unlike a traditional on-site model, cloud based LIMS allows diagnostic labs to be more responsive to their business needs and achieve lower turnaround times in serving pharmaceuticals that rely heavily on the data supplied for drug development.
